Dr. Kate Barnes studied Medicine at Southampton and has worked in General Practice in UK for the last 25 years. She recognised a large number of her patients had a mind-body connection to their illness. She subsequently developed a special interest in these patients & went on to study for the Diploma in Medical Hypnosis at The London College of Clinical Hypnosis in 2009. Today she combines this successfully with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in her Medical Practice. She tutors in General Practice at Oxford University, and works in both the NHS and Private Practice in London and near her home in Buckinghamshire. She is passionate about education and teaching these skills to students as an innovative approach to the broader aspects of staying well and preventing ill health.
