Samer Abou Said is the head of commercial dispute resolution at The Firm – Moaza Alkhadar Advocates and Legal Consultancy. He is a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales, a member of Beirut Bar Association, a registered practitioner before DIFC Courts, and a legal consultant with the Dubai Legal Affairs Department. He specializes in commercial dispute resolution, and being dual-qualified and bilingual speaker, Samer navigates confidently, in Arabic and English language proceedings.
He represents clients in court proceedings before the onshore UAE Courts, DIFC Courts, and in arbitration proceedings before the ICC, DIFC-LCIA, DIAC, ADCCAC, and other regional arbitration centers. Samer handled disputes related to construction, upstream oil and gas, insurance, banking, investment, shareholders’ agreement, transportation…etc.
Samer authored several articles on dispute resolution in the UAE and has recently authored a book in collaboration with Lexis Nexis publishers on enforcement of arbitration awards in the UAE titled “Landmark Arbitration Cases: Dubai Courts (209-2021)”.
