Vazil Hudák is an internationally recognized banking and finance advisor with the specialisation on public-private relations. Currently, he provides strategic guidance and policy consultations to GLOBSEC, a non-governmental think-tank fostering a global debate on foreign and security policy issues. Since 2019, he actively advises the Government of the Czech Republic on the establishment of the National Development Fund.
Until recently, he held the position of Vice President of the European Investment Bank (EIB), the world largest multilateral public bank. Prior to his appointment, he served a number of senior positions in the Slovak government including Minister of Economy and Deputy Minister of Finance during the period 2012-2015. Besides his involvement in the public sector, Vazil has gained vast experience also in the private sphere. He worked as Vice-President of Citigroup (2006-2010) and Industry Head of Public Sector for the Central and Eastern Europe of J.P. Morgan Chase Bank in London (2010-2012).
