Fabian Wieser was born in southern Germany in 1986. He studied architecture with an emphasis on large scale projects and urban design at Karlsruhe University (KIT), where he graduated in 2012.
His professional career has to lead him to live in Portugal and China before returning to Germany and settling in Berlin in 2016. The focus of his work bridges China and Germany and ranges across all scales of design, with the smallest project measuring 30cm x 30cm x 150cm and the largest over several square kilometres.
Fabian worked for RSAA in China from 2013 to 2016 and rejoined the office on the German side in 2018. In between, he worked for Berlin-based architecture and design studio designyougo.
His interest in teaching comes from the conviction that the lecturer, in addition to teaching young people about architecture, also learns a lot from the questions of her/his students. He was a student teaching assistant at the chair for urban design (Prof. Wall) in Karlsruhe University and has since been lecturing on architecture in educational and professional environments in China.
