Aleš successfully paired with the renowned economist Pavel Kohout and investment company AMISTA to run their own quantitative investment fund called QUANT. In 2015, Aleš joined Y Soft Ventures to become its Advisory Board Member. Since 2014, he has been serving as an External Economic Advisor to the Ministry of Finance in the Czech Republic. Before that, Aleš worked as a Chief Investment Officer at Raiffeisenbank CZ (2006 – 2015), as an Advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs at the Office of the Czech Government (2004 – 2006), and also as an Economic Journalist for Hospodarske noviny (2000 – 2004). While working at Raiffeisenbank CZ Aleš was awarded the Analyst / Economist of the Year Award by Hospodarske noviny three times in a row. He graduated from the University of Economics in Prague in Finance and Monetary Policy as well as from the London School of Economics and Political Science in Game Theory – Judgment and Decision Making. He finished his executive education at the University of Pennsylvania – The Wharton School where he focused on Asset Management.
